That time of the year when the color scheme of autumn has disappeared and the stems and leafless branches of deciduous trees are vibrant in shades of purple.

The land has turned dark and the foggy mornings and the calm lake surface create a quiet, waiting atmosphere.

Lapland is said to have eight seasons and each has its own beauty, this end of October and beginning of November is one of them. This time is waiting for snow and preparing for winter.

Reindeer and elk rutting, or estrus, is coming to an end. The people of ancient times considered this time as the harvest time for forest grain. In reindeer husbandry, this manifests itself as the beginning of fall separations.

You don't always have time to reach the light and cold morning mood from the ball of late autumn. In this picture, however, I have managed to achieve it.
